Sorris Sorris Conservancy
The Community: The Sorris Sorris Community reside in the environs of the Brandberg and Khorixas, now known as the Erongo Region. They are masters of the skilful “click” language and lives off small livestock, mainly goats.
Scenic beauty: Spectacular rocky desert, dotted with trees in non-perennial river beds set the scene for a unique experience. The lodge blends beautifully with the landscape overlooking the dramatic Brandberg Mountain with its orange and pink hues. This mountain, the highest in Namibia, is home to hundreds of rock paintings.
Wildlife: The Ugab River is the realm of the Desert Elephant. In its course the desert to the coast, the Ugab River provides a habitat for the black rhino and the desert- adapted lion. Its serpent-like line of green acacia trees create a dynamic eco-system with its own fauna, flora and wildlife.
